Christian-Muslim Relations in Milwaukee: A Historical Overview

DESCRIPTION

We are pleased to announce TASWI Speaker Series on “Christian-Muslim Relations in Milwaukee: A Historical Overview”. We are thankful to Niagara Foundation for being co-organizer.

Interfaith relations are not new and yet there is a considerable lack of familiarity with how communities of faith relate to each other and collaborate on various social justice issues, locally, nationally, and internationally. This presentation will discuss the group research project on Christian-Muslim interactions in the greater Milwaukee area. It will focus on historical interactions between members of these two communities as well as current engagement between Christians and Muslims at various levels and in a variety of arenas including academic activities, community relations, and social justice issues.
