Turkish American Society of Wisconsin

Turkish American Society of Wisconsin (TASWI), a unit of Harmony Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit 501 (c)-(3) organization established in 2006 to promote a better understanding and closer relations between Turkish-American Community and other communities in Wisconsin through cultural activities and social gatherings.

While keeping focus on preserving the Turkish culture and traditions and responding to the social and cultural needs of its members; TASWI shares diverse Turkish culture with the American society. TASWI encourages people to better integrate into their local communities and contribute to peace, prosperity and harmony in the area. All TASWI activities are open to public without any type of discrimination.

Mission

To promote intercultural friendship and dialogue between Turkish-American community and other communities in Wisconsin, establish cultural and business bridges between Turkey and United States and educate Turkish-American youth to better integrate them to the community at large. Meanwhile, we endeavor to:

• To introduce the Turkish culture to the community to cultivate friendship and promote a better understanding of diverse cultures through dialog and exchange of information
• Support and preserve Turkish traditions through educational and cultural programs
• Involve in charity projects in Wisconsin and the world
